I’m Clara Finch, and I run Caption Globe from my little desk where sketches, scrap piles, and finished photos all end up on the same page. I love DIY that stays practical, looks considered, and works in real spaces. My process is simple: build the project, test the steps, take the pictures that answer the questions, then write captions that help you picture the result before you start. If you like projects with clear instructions and a light editorial feel, you’re in the right place.
My story
I started Caption Globe after a friend asked me how I always had clear, funny captions for my photos. I realized I wasn’t doing anything magical, I was just collecting what worked while I was building little things around my apartment. One weekend I made a few simple upgrades, took pictures, and wrote captions while the paint dried.
When I posted them, people started asking for the how. So I kept going, testing one idea at a time, then writing down what I’d change next time so you can skip the same trial-and-error.
What I cover
On Caption Globe, you’ll find DIY ideas for home, paper, and everyday organization, plus the caption templates and wording tweaks I use when I’m photographing my progress. I’m a one-person blog, so you’ll see my real steps, the parts that failed, and what I changed after. I’ve tried most of these on my own shelves, drawers, and walls, and I’m honest about what works for small spaces and limited time.
